Sunday, Feb 3rd - Depart Vancouver
1. Monday, Feb 4th - Venice, Marco Polo International Airport Arrive Venice, collect baggage and meet with your Tour Director, driver and coach. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon at leisure. (D)
Breakfast and at 0830 meet in Piazza Giorgione with today’s guide. Today you will be visiting Asolo and seeing this magnificent pre-alp township, a favorite of (author’s name). A short coach ride will take you to our 1230 appointment at the “Antica Trattoria Guarnire, Cornuda (TV) here you will experience a typical “pranzo di mezzo giorno” and savour local dishes and wines. After lunch travel to Schiavon to visit the “Poli Distillerie” and learn how Grappa is distilled as well as enjoy a tasting. Next we will visit Bassano del Grappa and stroll the “Ponte degli Alpini”, the covered bridge that is the focal point of this energetic, walled city. Depart Bassano for Castelfranco and enjoy your evening meal at (…TBA…) prior to returning to the hotel. (B,L,D)
After breakfast, meet your guide for the day at Piazza Giorgione and depart for Refrontolo, Localita Molinetto della Croda. We will visit the water powered mill and visit Toffoli Vincenzo Azienda Agricola for a wine tasting and lunch. After your meal a short drive will take you to Follina for a guided stroll of the city center. Next on today's agenda is a drive along the "Strada del Prosecco" to Valdobbiadene. A gentle stroll and tasting will follow. This evening’s meal will be at the “agriturismo” Riva de Milan, Valdobbiadene. Coach return to hotel. (B,L,D)

You will be spending today navigating between the Venetian Islands of Murano: famous for it’s glass works, Burano: with it’s amazing handmade lace and Torcello: reminiscent of the bygone days. Today’s mid-day meal will be a typical, local seafood delight. Early evening will see you back to your hotel. (B,L,D)
A tour of the romantic and tragic city of Romeo and Juliette will leave you wanting to come back and stay for a much longer period. Lunch will be enjoyed in a local renown restaurant. After lunch, a short drive to Lago di Garda and a some free time to discover Sirmione: the picturesque lake shore vacation city. Leisurely drive back to Castelfranco. (B,L,D)
Depart Castelfranco for Treviso at 0830 where the morning will be dedicated to serious bargain hunting at the weekly outdoor market in the provincial capital. Lunch in a local restaurant will give you pleanty of time to share stories of bartering and amazing deals obtained. Early afternoon will see us meeting our guide for a walking tour of this beautiful, historical walled city. Tonight will find you enjoying a boisterous dinner in a local “Pizzeria”. By the end of the evening you will be fluent in Italian and feeling like a true “paesano”. (B,L,D)
Today we depart for San Daniele del Friuli at 0800, the home of Italy’s renown Prosciutto Crudo. Your guided tour will be followed by a tasting and then a delicious and unforgettable meal featuring the local delicacy. On the route back to Castelfranco we will be stopping in Pordenone for a leisurely stroll. (B,L,D)
This morning our coach will take us to the train station where we will board our train to Venice. Our guide will meet us and lead a walking tour of this historical gem. After lunch spend the afternoon strolling St Mark’s Square, be entranced by the parade of magical masks and costumes, hiding around every corner and pillar of the piazza. Meet your tour director prior to boarding the evening train back to Castelfranco. (B,L,D)
Today is a free day, after boarding your train to Venice, you will have the day at your disposal to do as you like. Take a water bus to one of the outer islands: wander the narrow “calle” of Venice to purchase the perfect mask as a memento of your magical holiday or sit in Piazza San Marco, enjoying a Bellini and watch the world go by. Dinner this evening will be a “Carnevale”. You will savour the seasonal dishes typical of the carnival season in Italy. Our last evening together will culminate with a spectacular pyrotechnic display showcasing the Castelo, Torre and Piazza Giorgione.
